Marden Lodge Primary School Caterham

Our school motto: “Your Children, Their Future, Together, Our School”.
All children, regardless of their ability, gender, race or creed will be given every opportunity to learn, grow and develop in a safe, caring and happy environment under the guidance of our multi skilled team.
We provide a wide range of high quality learning opportunities for all our pupils which will help them grow into independent and responsible young people. Parents are given every opportunity to share in their child's formal education; & the school staff, teaching and non-teaching, are always keen to discuss any aspect of the pupils' development. By working closely in partnership with parents, governors and the community, we firmly believe this shared partnership achieves the best for our children

Kestrel Childrens Center

The Kestrels Team are fully committed to working in partnership with parents and their children. We strive to ensure that all families receive seamless integrated services, information and access to help from multi-disciplinary teams of professionals in order that our children get the best start in life.
Kestrels Children's Centre is set within the grounds of Marden Lodge School, in Caterham Valley.
We became a Designated Sure Start Children's Centre in April 2007.
On a daily basis we care for children aged 6 months - 11 years and their families. Our most recent Ofsted report showed:
• Children are extremely well cared for in a welcoming, secure and safe environment
• Children arrive happy and are eager to participate in a good range of play and learning opportunities
• Children enjoy an excellent range of good quality toys and play equipment, which is organised effectively to meet the children’s developing needs.
• Younger children are helped to settle by qualified staff who are sensitive towards the children’s individual needs
• Staff are good role models, joining in children’s play; children enjoy their company and staff demonstrate a positive attitude to learning with an emphasis on fun and relaxation.
The quality of teaching and learning is good and the children make good progress towards early learning goals with the support of staff who have a sound understanding of how children develop and learn
Staff have high expectations of children’s behaviour and foster a calm, secure, caring environment
